Is Your Teen at Risk for Meningitis?

Meningococcal disease is a dangerous, often deadly disease that strikes suddenly - often in otherwise healthy children. Teens and young adults are at high risk, but there is vaccine available to protect them. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has revised its 2016-2017 school immunization requirements to include meningococcal vaccination for 8th graders and a booster for high school seniors.
